Styling Moto Jackets for Fall Weather

The Leather Moto Jacket…

A leather moto jacket is a closet staple. When styling moto jackets, you can dress them up or down which provides you so much versatility in your wardrobe. I love pieces that are great quality and are go to pieces year after year. Fall is when I bring out my moto jackets and put them to great use!

Leather moto jackets in the Fall can be so fun! I’ll share with you two different ways that I tend to style my black faux leather moto jacket.

Edgy & Casual

I’m a casual girl at heart. I love styling pieces where I can show you there are ways to be comfortable and still look and feel cute! Casual doesn’t always mean frumpy. Unless we are doing Instagram vs. Reality right now 😉 For this look, I paired my faux leather moto jacket with a graphic tee, a buffalo check flannel, black distressed skinny jeans and a pair of black booties.

Since this look is all black, I played off of the hardware on the moto jacket. The booties I choose to style this outfit with have the same style/color hardware to tie it all in together. When styling a look you want to play off colors, textures and fit. The other tie in for this style was I took the black and white of the graphic tee and paired it with this back and white flannel to provide some overall dimension.

Night On The Town

I wanted to share with you how easy it can be to switch out a couple of pieces and have an entirely different look. For this look, I took the same moto jacket and jeans from day to night. For contrasting fabrics, I placed a satin ruffle cami under the leather moto jacket and then tied the leather back in with the peep toe heel booties and a leather Tory Burch clutch.

The Suede Moto Jacket…

A suede moto jacket is just as versatile and just as much as a closet staple. When styling a suede moto I gravitate towards a softer look. For this first style, I paired a pleated silk waist band skirt with a lightweight v-neck blouse. Grabbed some nude heels to tie in the lighter colors of the look and a maroon hat tying in the dark contrast.

Elevated Casual…

The last look with the suede moto jacket I contrasted suede with leather. Whenever I can mix these two I take full advantage! A sweater tunic, which for this petite gal couples as a dress, paired with a moto jacket is an elevated casual look. Taking leather booties in the same color family adds just a little something extra!
