It is literally Christmas in July! The NSale 2021 is here. This past Tuesday, July 6th, everyone was able to access the online preview of the sale and start their wishlist. This is huge in helping you be a strategic shopper. In this post I am sharing what I have learned over the years from shopping the sale. I will also be sharing my wishlist for the following categories: Women (Clothing, Shoes, Accessories, Bags), Beauty, Home, and Mens. The image below is a helpful guide to remember sale dates and times. You can hover over the image to pin!
Tips I’ve Learned Over The Years
I remember the first year I shopped the sale. I added EVERYTHING to my cart that I wanted and went to check out. My whole cart was almost sold out. I spent close to two hours looking through everything and then nothing was left that I wanted. I quickly learned several tips that I use every year and it helps me to checkout with more of the items I want.
Make a Wishlist!
This is a fan favorite tip. Making a wishlist is a saving grace. Spend the time on the front end to know what items you want to shop this year and add them to your wishlist. If you are a blogger or an avid NSale shopper you will most likely have multiple wishlists split into categories. This is also great if you are targeting specific things or your most wanted items then you aren’t riffling through your whole wishlist to checkout.
Time To Checkout
If there is something you really want and you would be upset if it sold out, add the item to your cart and checkout! One of the greatest perks of shopping with Nordstrom is the free shipping with no minimum order. You can have as many orders as you want. Take advantage of that with this sale. Items go fast. I highly recommend making a priority list from your wishlist and shop those priority items first.
Another key with checkout is to have all your information filled out in your profile and have your Nordstrom credit card saved to your account as well when shopping early access. Early access is a cardholder perk. With that being said, you do need to pay with your Nordstrom card at checkout for early access. Public access can use a major credit card. I would not recommend opening a credit card just to shop the sale! Having your info pre-filled will also help with a faster checkout.
Restocks & Sold Out
For the NSale, sometimes items are restocked and sometimes they are not. Unless you are a Nordstrom employee, I don’t think anyone else will know when and if a coveted sold out item will restock. From shopping the sale for several years now, I sort of understand their process. From what I can tell, select items they know are going to be hot ticket items, they release in waves. They make so many available per tier. Some items I have noticed are NOT restocked for Public Access, which this year starts on July 28th. After all, the NSale is first and foremost a cardholder perk so I do understand their point on this.
Notes & Double Points Days
If you are a cardholder, most likely you shop Nordstrom year round. Notes are essentially vouchers you earn that usable like Nordstrom cash and can be used on the sale. If at all possible, pending the expiration date, I try to save my notes to use on the sale. A note on a discount new arrival item, I’ll take it!!
Double points days are another card holder perk. How many double points days you have depend on your status tier. I always recommend to save at least one of your double points days for your biggest shopping day of the NSale. Usually, this is the first day you have access to the sale. When checking back for restocks and newly released items, I shop multiple days. The first access day always is the bulk of my purchases though.
My Wishlists
I have my wishlists broken down into categories so I can shop easier. Sharing my wishlists for inspo and also for sneak peeks. All of my wishlists are also linked in LTK. If you don’t already follow me, click here. Happy Shopping!
