Beauty Empties – Products I Finished In The Last 6 Months

Seems I lost track of just how full my beauty empties box was getting! Grab a cup of coffee and get comfy. We are diving into six months worth of beauty empties! In typical fashion, I will of course share if a product is a buy or bye for me and why. Since we have six months worth I decided to split this into two posts: Part 1- Haircare and Skincare and Part 2- Makeup. Without further ado, let’s jump into with Part 1.

Haircare Beauty Empties

Haircare is something I don’t mind spending a few extra dollars on if I feel it truly makes a difference in my hair. If you read any of my collagen posts you will know why haircare is so important to me! Right out of the gate this is a ride or die for me and will mostly likely always make its way into an empties post. NAVY Search & Rescue line is my staple shampoo & conditioner. I love that it has biotin and is vitamin rich to help protect my hair and promote regrowth.

Olaplex is another staple for me. For me, this more as a weekly treatment for my hair. I always use the Olaplex line the wash before and the one first after getting my hair done to provide that extra layer of protection and strength. I sometimes even take it with me to the salon and have them use it to wash the color out. This set is apart of the NSale again this year and is still in stock!

My hair is fine and thin so it needs help in the volume department! Bumble & Bumble is a line that I have loved for a long time. They have amazing products and I feel like I don’t hear a lot of people talk about this brand. B&B Thickening Spray is a product I use on towel damp hair. I separate my hair and spray right at the root. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave behind a product feel.

What would be a beauty empties post without at least one bottle of dry shampoo! Most of you are probably no stranger to Living Proof PhD Dry Shampoo. It’s one I always come back to and love each time just as much as the last. No white residue, smells amazing, and gives me that little extra oomph I need between washes.

Skincare Beauty Empties

We have some new to me products in this beauty empties section and also some repeat offenders! Let’s start with the new to me products because I can’t wait to share them. Out of this whole empties post, a new product to me that I loved the most was Colleen Rothschild Matcha Tea Treatment Toner. Last year I purchased her Exploration Collection to try some new products and whoa! It is the perfect combination of leaving your face feel stripped of any dirt but not drying. The smell is straight out of a spa and I am here for it!

As I’m typing this and looked up a product I realized that Colleen Rothschild site is having a Christmas in July Sale and the whole site is 20% off with select items up to 50% off. Click either product link above to take you to the sale! Great time to try some of her kits so see which products work best for you and your skin.

The other new to me product was Native Bodywash. Let’s just say I’m a huge fan and won’t be using anything else! I love that there are minimal ingredients and it is sulfate and paraben free if you are sensitive to those. The suds is also great which is always a plus! You can auto ship Native to your home and I also love that you can now purchase some Native products at Target.

On the subject of Native, if you’ve followed me for awhile then you know that almost two years ago I made the switch to natural deodorant. I’ve used Native and only one other brand during the switch. The scents are great and it works great too. In full transparency, on super hot Summer days I do use another brand that works a touch better in the staying fresh department 😉 You can also have this auto shipped or grab with your next Target run.

Next up, a product that was new to me and was definitely a bye. Coco Shower by Hello Body. The smell was more of a fake coconut smell and the lather was awful. You need to use a lot of product in one use as well which is super wasteful. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait to get this one finished.

Clinique Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser is and continues to be, a cleanser that will be in my shower. I love how gentle this cleanser is. At the same time, it leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh. For this reason, I will always repurchase this cleanser. Sometimes I find that gentle cleansers don’t always leave that fresh face feeling. I’m also one who really likes a good lather for a cleanser and this one gets super sudsy!

A great morning toner for me is the Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner. This toner is still effective without that stripping my skin feeling afterwards. It is gentle on the skin but I do find that I use more of this one. I think I am trying to achieve that “stripped” feeling I get with other toners. My skin thanks me for weaving this toner in through the week. It is also reasonably priced which doesn’t hurt either!

Poo-Pourri need I say more, lol! Use it and love it. Ulta coupons work on this product so I always grab a couple to keep on hand. If you haven’t used it, try it. You’re welcome 🙂

The last new to me was definitely a buy. Clinique Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer was the quench my skin needed. It is on the thicker side and would never use during the day but by morning my skin thanked me. It would say it is a cream consistency but doesn’t dry heavy. It’s as if it soaks right into your skin. This is a product I will repurchase for Fall & Winter since it made such a difference for my skin.

Stay Tuned for Part 2
