Bathroom Organization and Declutter

One thing about organizing and decluttering is that I can always find something that could use a little sprucing! Today we are tackling the smaller sink area in the Master Bath. Admittedly, this one was a little tricky. The layout and the piping was in the way so taking a step back and rethinking my plan was in order. Keep reading for the details on my bathroom organization and declutter!

Previously, this is what I was working with. Not awful but also not the best. Finding forgotten products in the very back was probably to be expected. It was products that were old or ones I wasn’t interested in using anymore. Due to that, this allowed me to be able to fit everything inside the organizing pieces I bought as well.

On the left side, I had my nail polish and behind that was backups of face products. Additionally, there were also a couple new products back there that I need to try. I used this Lazy Susan for quite some time. With that being said, it ran its course. I loved it initially but then I found especially on the bottom part that I still didn’t know what was down there!

Then, on the right side, I had backup hair products and this tier of drawers that I bought years ago from Bed Bath & Beyond. I kept beauty tools and larger products in the bottom. On the top was tanning, face masks, cotton balls and cotton rounds, and lastly there was some random items that didn’t have a home. For instance, there was a small box that had buttons from what seemed to be every article of clothing I have ever purchased. Not once have I used a single button from there haha! Do you save the extra buttons that come on clothes? Would love to know if I’m the only button hoarder 🙂

After awhile I started feeling like I had products under there that I would enjoy using and didn’t even remember I had! After looking online I found and ordered some organizers that I felt would look nice and be functional. I repurposed some items where I could so I didn’t have to purchase all new. Even better the organizer that was in here you will see repurposed in an upcoming organize and declutter post! I’ve found that an organizer may not be good in one spot but can be great in another!

Beginning with the left side, I found this 3-tiered organizer which ended up working great. I love that each drawer is a different size. As a result, it makes me feel like I am utilizing the whole space. I will say, if you want to store smaller items you’d want to consider lining the bottom of the drawers. For my contacts I picked up these cosmetic organizers. I wasn’t sure what I would use these for at first but really like them for this use. You can stack them as I did on top of each other or place them side by side.

Finally, on the right side, I placed another of the 3 tiered organizers. On this side I repurposed some things. I took my lazy susan apart and I just used the bottom piece. This way I could still store larger bottles on top of the organizer while still being able to access what products I have. I already have my nail polish and nail care in this acrylic organizer that I bought at Target several years ago. It works well for this and still fit in the space so I left as is!
