Something important to me is to maintain a neat & tidy house. I strive to break my cleaning checklist up by weekday so my weekends are free to do more exciting things! While there are times where the week gets away from me or there is just not enough time in the day. We have been doing a lot of home improvement projects which has led us to do a kitchen organization and declutter!
Moving onto the to-do list! First, I looked on Amazon and found some great organization pieces. I am hoping they will work well in my kitchen declutter and organization series! Next up in the series, the panty could use a little TLC. I will be able to repurpose things that I have used in the past for that area. The cabinets stay fairly well organized. However, I may end up moving some things to areas that make more sense.
Today for the kitchen organization and declutter we are going to focus specifically under the kitchen sink. Without a doubt, this is an area that can get away from me the easiest. Almost always I know exactly what I’m looking for. I’m also not in there very often. Due to that, there was a ton of product that was either really old or I didn’t care to use anymore. Unfortunately, I wasn’t thinking about this post and ditched them without taking a photo. It was a full grocery store bag worth!
Finally, in the before picture you can see it had a cluttered look and feel. Since that was the case, there were items tucked away behind everything that I forgot I even had. That’s when you know it’s time!
I pulled everything out from under the sink, gave it a good wipe down, and tossed what I didn’t want. After that there are now minimal items in the back and I can see everything that I have! Even more exciting is my favorite addition which is the organizer for my grocery store bags! I love that I can use the top shelf and the drawer pulls out. I can’t find online but it was in the bathroom organization section of Target.
Hope you enjoyed the first post in the kitchen organization and declutter series! Is there an area in your kitchen that you’ve been meaning to tackle? Would love to hear in the comments below. Till next time!
