Loungewear – The New Daily Workwear

If someone told me that one day loungewear will be the new daily workwear, I would have probably laughed and said “Ok, sure it is”. I have been working from home for the past three years and to this day can’t believe loungewear really is the new daily workwear! Many people have had the opportunity to work from home with all the new experiences.

I came from a work environment where I wore business attire, daily. My online and in store shopping consisted of business suits and other business attire. I loved getting up in the morning to put on my suit, grab my computer bag and walk out the door feeling like a boss. Today is a little different. I now change out of my workout clothes from my morning exercise to put on loungewear. Loungewear but make it fashion! After all, I still need to walk into my office with coffee in hand feeling ready to conquer the day! I’m rounding up my top 3 loungewear outfits in case you are looking for some comfy looks that put some pep in your step.

Target has really stepped up their game this year. They may have new buyers or new design teams but something happened and I am here for it. Two of the three loungewear outfits I’m sharing came from Target. Best of all, they are comfy, cute and affordable. What more could I ask for? Colsie and Stars Above are newer lines at Target and have some of the best loungewear sets. I gravitate to the matching sets but you can always mix and match according to your style.

To kick things off, this first set from Colsie I love for the fact that it is shorts! Living in Florida, we are starting to see some cooler temps but is still hot here. This set has a lot of fun elements to it. There is very light distressing, frayed hems and a little on the cropped side. The shorts also have pockets which I am a sucker for. This set is on clearance now so not a ton of sizes available but still some left!

Next up, the second loungewear set from Target. Being a pant set the material is lightweight and isn’t overly hot. This set comes in two colors and it was very hard for me to choose! This super pretty blush color and then it also comes in a navy. Similarly, a lot of small details on this set as well that really give it a little something extra. I love that there is solid color on the bands to offset the stripes, the little pocket on the top, small slits in the side of the top and the pants have pockets. I would imagine finding this set at Nordstrom or another high end retailer for double the cost.

Lastly, I couldn’t talk about my favorite new daily workwear and not include this tie-dye set. For awhile this set was in and out of stock but seems there is an adorable black and white heart set on preview! This set is just as good if not better in person than online. The muted grayish-blue color is really what drew me to this one. Very slight high-low situation happening and last but not least, pockets 🙂
