It’s great to keep your wardrobe full of pieces that you can style multiple ways. A lot of times a blazer is thought of as only workwear. Definitely not the case! I love to style my blazers many different ways. For example, when styling a plaid blazer there is a print/pattern to the fabric and it allows for workwear and an edgy/casual look option, if you’re into that 😉 I’ll be sharing with you my top four go-to looks for styling a plaid blazer.
All About The Graphic Tee
For this first look, I played off the colors of the plaid and paired this blazer with one of my favorite graphic tee’s (similar linked). Since I went with a graphic tee, to keep it casual I grabbed one of my favorite pairs of dark gray denim (similar linked), again playing with the color scheme of the blazer, and finished off the look with a pair of Kate Spade sneaker wedges. Which are super comfortable by the way!
Mixing Textures with Faux Leather
For this next look, I decided to mix textures. This is something I love to do when styling pieces if I can! I took the heavier texture of the blazer and paired it with my Spanx faux leather leggings and one of my all time favorite go-to silk cami’s (similar linked). All tying in the colors of the plaid making for a cohesive look. Since I was already on a roll with mixing textures I thought, why not one more! To finish the look, I grabbed my Vince Camuto knee-high suede boots (similar linked).
Shorts & Blazer
To me, this look is such a fun and playful way to style a blazer! For this third look, since I was styling the blazer with shorts, I cuffed the sleeves of the blazer. I grabbed a pair of my favorite denim shorts and wanted to keep things basic with the top. To do that, I paired the look with a solid black pocket tank (similar linked). To finish the look, I chose my favorite cognac mules from the NSale this year! One of my faves and again, tying all colors back into the focal point, the blazer.
At The Office
I know for a lot of you, including myself, working in an office is a thing of the past. For those of you who still get to get out and dressed for the office everyday, I didn’t forget about you! If I was still working in an office this plaid blazer would be on repeat.
For this last look, I took a pair of ankle dress pants and paired them with a sleeveless portofino top (similar linked). Topped it off with the plaid blazer to finish off the look. Since this is a work wear style I grabbed my nude heels and the outfit was complete. When I still worked in an office this was totally my vibe!
I hope you enjoyed this how to style post! If there are any other pieces you would like to see styled multiple ways let me know in the comments!
Till Next Time,
